‍TEMPORARY CROSSWALK AT TATTE

‍In response to safety concerns, the Engineering Division and Police Department set up a temporary crosswalk on East Ridgewood Avenue near Tatte Bakery & Cafe earlier this week. In the spring, the Village will evaluate the crossing and consider making it permanent with new curbing and striping.

PAVING GRANT AWARDED

‍The Village has been awarded a $259,121 grant from the New Jersey Department of Transportation for the resurfacing of West Ridgewood Avenue from Garber Square to Maltbie Avenue. We are looking forward to this improvement on the west side!

‍THE TREE IS HERE!

This past Wednesday, Downes Tree Service cut down the donated Christmas tree, transported it across town and set it in place at Garber Square. Don't miss the tree lighting on Friday, December 5 at 6:45 pm. The festivities start at 5:00 pm with a special kids hour featuring music, arts and crafts, hot cocoa and more.

SPRUCED UP

‍Have you noticed the winter-themed planters in the Central Business District? They're the beautiful work of the Ridgewood Beautification Team, who spent Saturday morning transforming our downtown with seasonal greenery.

GIVING THANKS

‍One hundred local families enjoyed a bountiful Thanksgiving meal thanks to the Social Service Association of Ridgewood and Vicinity and the generosity of residents who donated food and volunteered their time for the annual drive.

Children of all abilities can enjoy the holiday season in a comfortable, inclusive environment at Access Ridgewood's Sensory-Friendly Dinner and Tree Lighting on Monday, December 8, 5:00 to 8:00 pm. Reservations are required. Sign up today to secure your family's spot!

The Parks & Recreation Department's "Giving Tree" supporting the Center for Hope and Safety is up at The Stable! Please consider dropping off new, unwrapped gifts for victims of domestic violence (women, children, teenagers) by Friday, December 12.
