‍10TH ANNUAL
ELDER DINNER

‍Old Paramus Reformed Church was at capacity for the Village's 10th annual Elder Dinner this past Sunday. This award-winning event, celebrating our senior residents, is made possible every year through the combined efforts of the Ridgewood Parks & Recreation Department, Community Center Foundation, HealthBarn Foundation, Age Friendly Ridgewood and the Kapur family, with the help of numerous volunteers and local organizations, including the Civic Youth Corps. Many thanks!

‍FOOD DRIVE A SUCCESS!

Thank you, Ridgewood! Because of your incredible generosity, the Emergency Food Drive for families impacted by the cessation of SNAP benefits was a huge success. Hundreds of bags of donations were delivered to the Social Service Association of Ridgewood and Vicinity for distribution. SSA is now transitioning to its annual Thanksgiving Food Drive, which will benefit more than 100 local families.

‍UPPER HAWES COMPLETED

‍The renovation of Upper Hawes Field was completed over the NJEA Teachers Convention break last week. Thanks to a generous $56,300 donation from the Ridgewood Baseball & Softball Association, Upper Hawes is now an official Little League field.

‍FLOOD WALL PROGRESS

Construction on the new flood wall system at Village Hall started on Monday and is moving along nicely. The project is expected to take three weeks to complete, with the majority of work taking place this week. Both the Main Entrance and the Community Center Entrance will be impacted. However, only one entrance will be closed at a time so that employees and residents can continue to access Village Hall throughout the project.
