HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

‍We hope you enjoy the holiday! Just a reminder that Village Hall will be closed on November 28th and 29th in observance of Thanksgiving. Garbage and recycling pickups will resume on Friday as scheduled.

‍WINTERFEST
ON SATURDAY

‍Support small businesses this Saturday while enjoying the Ridgewood Guild's 15th annual WinterFest celebration!

‍UP, UP AND AWAY!

‍It was a sight to behold! This past Friday, the Kingsbridge Lane Pedestrian Bridge (which weighs 5.5 tons!) was picked up, placed on a flatbed truck and taken away for repairs. Removing the bridge, rather than repairing it in place, is saving the Village approximately $200,000. The bridge is expected to be back in Ridgewood in spring 2025.

‍THANKSGIVING MISSION
ACCOMPLISHED

‍The Social Service Association of Ridgewood and Vicinity is once again making Thanksgiving happen for neighbors that are struggling. This year, the Angele Ekert Memorial Thanksgiving Food Drive is serving 104 families thanks to generous donations and volunteer assistance from local schools, houses of worship, businesses and individuals.

‍CHRISTMAS TREE
DONATION

‍A 71-year-old Norway spruce will soon be on display at the train station thanks to Ridgewood American Legion Post 53 Commander Lou Francis and his wife, Yvonne. The couple, who has two sons in the military and a daughter who is a teacher, donated the tree in honor of Blue Star Families. (Blue Star Families refers to the immediate family members of active-duty service members in the U.S. military.) Thank you, Lou and Yvonne!

‍ANNUAL TREE LIGHTING

‍Bring the whole family to downtown Ridgewood on Friday, December 6th from 6:00 to 9:00 pm! (Tree lighting at 6:30 pm.) The annual Ridgewood Chamber of Commerce-sponsored event will feature a host of family-friendly activities including Touch-a-Truck, a trackless train, Santa in his golf cart, live music, dancers in shop windows, and s'mores and firepits in Memorial Park at Van Neste Square.
