EARLY VOTING STARTS
SATURDAY

Early voting for the 2025 General Election begins Saturday, October 25th and ends Sunday, November 2nd. There are nine early voting locations in Bergen County. Please see below for details. We encourage you to vote early to avoid lines on Election Day.

‍OPEN SPACE REFERENDUM

Village residents will have the opportunity to vote on a ballot measure regarding the Village’s Open Space Trust Fund, which dedicates money toward the acquisition, preservation, improvement, and protection of park and recreational property in Ridgewood.

After 24 years at our current rate, this referendum proposes an increase in the Village’s existing Open Space Trust Fund levy to one penny per $100 of assessed property value. By way of illustration, a Village property with an average assessed value of $712,700 would pay approximately $35.64 more in annual property taxes.

The Trust Fund preserves and enhances the Village's character by funding additional acquisitions and improvements to Ridgewood's open space and parkland properties. 

‍THREE WAYS TO VOTE

‍1. At  your pollling place on Election Day. Your polling location is listed on the sample ballot mailed to your home. You may also look it up online or call the Village Clerk's office at 201-670-5500, ext. 5514. The polls will be open from 6:00 am to 8:00 pm on Election Day, and you must vote in your designated polling place. Click for more details. 

2. In-person early voting. See locations and hours above. 

3. Vote by mail - Applications for mail-in ballots must be received at the Bergen County Clerk's Office by October 28th. You may also apply for a mail-in ballot in person at the Bergen County Clerk's Office up until 3:00 pm on November 4th. Click for more details.
