‍BUS SHELTER GRANT AWARDED

‍A big thank you to Senator Kristin Corrado (not pictured), Assemblyman Al Barlas and Assemblyman Chris DePhillips for their suppprt in securing the $147,000 NJDOT grant for the new bus shelter at Van Neste Square. We look forward to getting this project off the ground in the fall.


‍PFAS TREATMENT
FACILITY UPDATE

‍Four enormous Granular Activated Carbon vessels (the second largest size manufacturered by Calgon Carbon Corp.) were recently delivered to the Wortendyke PFAS Treatment Facility in Midland Park, which is on schedule to become operational by December 2026. When all 12 of Ridgewood Water's PFAS Treatment Facilities are up and running, all regulated PFAS compounds will be nondetectable in the treated water, exceeding the EPA standard of 4 parts per trillion.

‍As part of our summer public works projects, ADA-compliant curb cuts were created on North Van Dien Avenue, Stevens Avenue and Laurel Road, ensuring safer, more inclusive paths for ALL Village residents.


‍STORYTIME AT GRAYDON

‍Deputy Mayor Pam Perron was the guest reader at Storytime on the Beach yesterday. She shared the literary classic "The Story of Ferdinand," about a bull who would rather smell flowers than fight. After listening to the story, children made their own flowers from scrapbook paper, buttons and pipe cleaners. The next Storyime on the Beach will take place on Thursday, August 14 at 3:30 pm. 


‍MOVIES IN THE PARK

The 16th season of Movies in the Park, hosted by the Ridgewood Guild, continues with "The Batman" on Wednesday, August 20 at 8:15 pm. Bring a chair or a blanket to Memorial Park at Van Neste Square, and enjoy Robert Pattinson and Zoe Kravitz under the stars! ‍
