‍MLK CELEBRATION
WEEKEND

‍CONGRATULATIONS!

‍Edward Moodie (right), who served in the U.S. Army, was sworn in as a Ridgewood Police Officer this week and begins his training at the Bergen County Police Academy today. Douglas Busche, who joined the department in 2016, was promoted to Sergeant. He serves as our Field Training Officer and Assistant TAC Officer. Congratulations, gentlemen!

‍HAWES FIELD FACE-LIFT

Lower Hawes Field is looking sharp following its recent face-lift. New natural sod was installed to make the field safer for our young athletes.

‍VETS FIELD GLOW-UP

‍The new LED lighting at Veterans Field has been installed, replacing the original 1980s fixtures and eliminating the need for portable, generator-powered lights. The new lighting will benefit both our sports teams and concert-goers at Kasschau Memorial Shell. We can't wait to open the field for the spring season. New lights, better nights!

‍PARKING REMINDER

‍The Ridgewood Police Department would like to remind residents that there is no parking on any street in the Village between the hours of 2:00 am and 6:00 am (Ordinance 265-21). Overnight parking permits for the Central Business District are available at Village Hall, and residents may call Central Dispatch (201-652-3900) to request permission to park overnight. Thank you for your cooperation.

‍PASSPORT PROCESSING

‍Since opening six months ago, the Passport Center at the Ridgewood Public Library has processed 546 passports! The library encourages residents to make an appointment online for "passport service with a smile." Hours: Monday and Wednesday - 3:30 pm to 8:00 pm; Saturday - 9:30 am to 2:30 pm.
